VA Loan Network (“we,” “our,” “us”) operates valoannetwork.com (the “Site”) and related services (the “Services”). This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, how we share it, your choices, and your rights. By using the Services, you agree to this Policy and our Terms of Use.
What We Are (Context)
We are an education and lender-matching network for VA-eligible borrowers. We are not a lender. Partner lenders make all credit decisions and provide required disclosures. For our governance and compensation practices, see our Partner Transparency.
Personal Information We Collect
We collect information in three ways:
1) You provide it
- Contact: name, email, phone, mailing address
- Loan context: city/price range, entitlement status, property type, timeline, preferences
- Optional: credit tier you self-report, relevant notes for matching
2) Automatically (cookies/SDKs)
- Device/usage: IP address, identifiers, pages viewed, time on page, clicks, referrer, approximate location
- Analytics/ad tech: events from calculators, form starts, and campaign tags
3) From third parties
- Lenders: limited status updates (for example, preapproval issued, closed/withdrawn)
- Marketing/analytics: campaign performance and audience segments where permitted
How We Use Information
- Matching you with VA-approved lenders and comparing options
- Operating/improving the Site, including fraud prevention and security
- Communications about your requests; optional marketing if you opt in
- Compliance with law and to enforce our policies
- Analytics/ads to understand usage and measure campaigns (see “Your Privacy Choices”)
How We Share Information
- With partner lenders to deliver requested matches or comparisons
- With service providers (hosting, analytics, security, email/SMS delivery, CRM)
- For legal reasons (court orders, investigations, to protect rights and safety)
- Business transfers (merger, acquisition, or asset sale)
“Sale” or “Sharing” for Targeted Advertising
We do not sell personal information for money. We may share limited identifiers and usage data with advertising and analytics partners (for example, Google, Meta) for cross-context targeted ads and measurement. California residents can opt out of such “sharing” (see Your Privacy Choices).
Sensitive Personal Information
We do not request government IDs or financial account numbers on this Site. If you later provide sensitive data directly to a lender, that lender’s policy governs. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics beyond providing the Services.
Retention
We keep personal information only as long as necessary for matching, operations, security, and legal obligations. Aggregated or de-identified data may be retained for analytics.
Security
We apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the data. No system is perfect; please use caution online. See our Security Policy for more.
Your Privacy Choices
- Marketing emails: opt out via the link in any email or by contacting us.
- Targeted ads: use browser controls and industry tools such as DAA and NAI. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) where required.
- Cookies/analytics: adjust browser settings; some features may not work without cookies.
- Access, correction, deletion, opt-out of sharing: see State Rights below or contact us.
E-SIGN and Communications Consent
By using the Site, you consent to receive electronic communications. If you submit a form, you may consent to contact by us and participating lenders at the phone and email you provide, including calls or texts using automated technology. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time. See Do Not Call.
Children
The Services are for individuals 18+ and are intended for use in the United States.
State Privacy Rights
California (CPRA): You have the right to know, access, correct, delete, and to opt out of “sharing” for targeted ads. You also have the right to limit use of sensitive personal information (not applicable to our current practices). Submit a request via email or phone below. We will verify requests as required and respond within applicable timelines.
Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah: You may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, and opt out of targeted advertising. Contact us to exercise these rights. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying “Appeal” to our response.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy periodically. The “Last Updated” date reflects the latest version. Material changes will be posted on this page and, when required, notified to you.
